Musings

So, you may be wondering or asking yourself, how did I, Gisele,  get only one of 12 Crystal
Beds made by Marcel Vogel's students?   Good question!  I can only hope that my answer
to you will be just as good.

On March 15, 2004 the firm which I had been working for the last 17 years dissolved.  I
don't believe there is any real need for you to know  what firm or why the vote to dissolve,
because those are really just boring details.  On March 18, I was in Mexico on my favorite
island, Isla Mujeres (The Isle of Women) contemplating where I would go and what I would
do with my life.  I knew, gods and goddesses willing, that I would not return  to the corporate
environment that I had come from if I could at all (and I mean AT ALL) help it.  So...I asked
for help.

The loss of that job was one of the greatest gifts and challenges that I was handed.  But I
knew I had great teachers and guides with me, supporting me and helping me; they had never
failed me and I only hoped I would not fail them.

I believe we are all put on this earth for many purposes, but I also believe we are put on this
earth for One Purpose.  To awaken and to remember who we really are and to, hopefully,
help others to awaken and remember who they really are! To connect with Source, Great
Spirit, the Divine, God, or the thousands of other names that The One has been called.  It
has always been my greatest fear, since time unremembered, that I would not succeed at this
in this life.

So on my birthday, July 13, 2004 I travelled to Mt. Shasta and sat in her beauty, and
listened to the beautiful ways of the Huichol Indians.  We danced the Dance of the Deer
and stomped our prayers into Mother Earth.  We swam in the Sacred Falls and cleansed
our hearts and minds and souls with the cold water which, in another not so distant life, had
been snow atop Shasta's peak!  We sweat and purified ourselves in the beautiful sweat
lodge and sang sacred songs and again swam in the clear waters of Shasta's melted snow.
We climbed high to the snow line on Mt. Shasta where we left our prayers and were gifted
with her Sacred and Ancient Energy.  And all this time, we prayed.  For ourselves, our
families, our loved ones and friends, for the Huichol people, for all indigenous tribes and for
Mother Earth.  We prayed for the two-legged and the four-legged.  We prayed for the
winged ones and those which creep and crawl.  We prayed to Grandfather Fire and
Grandmother Ocean.  We never stopped praying!  For when we pray for all living things, we
pray for ourselves.

After our pilgrimage to Mt. Shasta, my friend Holly and I stayed a couple of days in Mt.
Shasta City.  We wandered and shopped and meandered into a store called
Crystal
Wings  which carries beautiful crystals and stones and which, at that time, was home to the
Crystal Bed.  My friend Holly was intrigued and had an hour session on the Crystal Bed,
but I declined.  Holly loved the bed and we thought how wonderful it would be to have one
back home in the Northeast.

We returned from Mt. Shasta and I Googled Crystal Beds but only found those in
Brazil offered through  John of God.  I wasn't quite ready to travel to Brazil, but as spirit
would have it, I didn't have to.

A few weeks later:  a random phone call by Holly, to Bill at Crystal Wing's, in search of a
Vogel crystal, and an off chance remark, that the bed may possibly be for sale..., he didn't
quite know....he was just thinking about it.  Within the hour, Holly called me, I called Bill
and the deal was done.

I firmly believe that these crystals need to be here in the Northeast.  They have come here
to do their beautiful work, to work in partnership with us, and to gently guide us into a,
sometimes, not so gently changing world!  As the Hopi Elders say
"We are the ones we
have been waiting for."  I leave you, for now, with that teaching!
May peace and love reign within your hearts and the one heart of all mankind.

Blessings,
Gisele
