Sometimes when we set our intention to gather as a group we think it is for one reason
and then it evolves and morphs into something else entirely. What was intended to be a
simple one hour meditation manifested into a beautiful three hour Solar Disk Activation
and Despacho Ceremony lead by Laurie Friedler. Sitting beside our own lake, we
linked in with our Brothers and Sisters at Lake Titicaca to assist in the re-emergence of
The Children of the Sun. And while the portal was opened in Peru, we once again
opened the Portal of Light that sits here on our own Lake Monponsett West, the
Twin of Monponsett East, and watched the sun set and held sacred space. I cannot
help but wonder how long had it been since our own indigenous ancestors held
ceremony on this same Lake to connect with their brothers and sisters in Peru. However
long it has been, I have no doubt that they were greatly pleased by this Gathering and
Ceremony. And since all time happens simultaneously, in reality (pick one!), no time had
passed.

with Sixto Paz Wells. And while I am so sorry that I cannot share with you the
magnificent altar which Laurie created, I can share with you the beautiful Despacho

all, doesn't it? This Despacho was burned the next day at Laurie's home in
Connecticut within her own beautiful sacred space.

Dear Friends,
Thank you for participating in the Solar Activation Ceremony, held at Gisele Bonenfant’s
house in a beautiful lake in Halifax, MA. There were 11 people in physical attendance; all
wonderful, heart centered healers. Thank you to Gisele and Holly Belsky for their vision to
bring all of us together.
Our connection to Lake Titicaca came from a khuya that Sun Island gifted me a few years
ago; a beautiful khuya that has a lake-type receptacle, which I filled with water from the
Urubamba River. We also connected through some Artes (sacred objects) representing
Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo- the first Inca’s to emerge from Lake Titicaca who went on to
form the Inca civilization and seed the Children of the Sun.
We opened our Sacred Circle with prayers to the Four Directions and then bringing the
vibration of our name; and each person stated his or her personal intention for healing. We
blew our intention into a 3 corn kernel kintu. For our (connection to) Divine Love intention,
we used my dear friend Yvonne Piette’s Temple Meditation from her Building Sanctuary
Series. We blew our intentions into a 3 rose petal kintu. For the 3rd intention, Solar
Activation, we used Sixto Paz Well’s RAMA Mantra. We blew our intention into a 3 bay leaf
kintu.
I invoked my dear (Despacho) teacher, don Mariano Quispe Flores, an Incan Pampa
Misayoq and Kurak Akulleq (visionary healer and ceremonialist) from the Andes of Peru
through prayer and my lineage khuya. I felt his blessing and we honored the ancestors who
kept and safeguarded these teachings.
We celebrated the Children of the Sun, who they are, what is their legacy and how they
have impacted our new, Spiritual Humanity. Some of their attributes are industriousness,
generosity, living in sacred reciprocity (ayni) with others and the natural world, heart
centeredness, and gratitude. We further set intention for embracing those virtues in
grounded ways in our own lives.
We read The Invitation by Oriah Mountain Dreamer and The Hopi Elder’s Message We Are
The One’s We’ve Been Waiting For. Both are timeless, inspirational manifestos that help us
live in right relation with others and ourselves.
I called each of your names as I placed you in the Ceremonial Altar. The Altar felt you arrive
and it was very FULL! I feel confident that all of you were Present in our Circle that the wide
variety of prayers and intentions of those present represented much of humanity’s needs
and prayers. I trust that when you connected through prayer or otherwise, you brought forth
your individual intention to the mix.
We accessed our multi-dimensional capabilities and journeyed to Lake Titicaca, where we
embraced our Brothers and Sisters there. We envisioned a human matrix of interlocking
hands in Solidarity and energetically brought our intentions forward ‘to be counted’. You
were all there with us.
I am sending you your Solar Activated Higher Self. Keep in a place of honor and connect
with it from time to time. The spiritual codes that opened in this ceremony will be unloading
for some time to come.
